Now look: I'm not trying to be negative, or hate on a place that some people may truly enjoy. BUT, this website is my safe space to discuss all things that I know and love about Puerto Vallarta, and Señor Frogs ain't one of 'em.
Sure: this place serves food and drinks; and yes: their staff is friendly and speaks a lot of English for those that lack the confidence to flex their Spanish muscles; and of course: I totally understand why people get sucked into the happy-go-lucky charm of a dining at a place who's mascot is a frog in sunnies.
But it's a tourist trap, plain and simple.
Señor Frogs offers overpriced food that isn't that good at a place that shoots off a lot of loud bells and whistles to give you the idea of "party vibes" without actually providing much of a party, much less much of a meal.
Don't get me wrong: if you're a child, or a parent looking to please a child, or a drunk adult looking to feel like a drunken teenager, you'll love Señor Frogs because in any of those instances loud bells and whistles matched with lackluster food usually equates to a good night out.
BUT, if you're in Puerto Vallarta and want to experience good food in an authentic Mexican environment, then steer clear of Señor Frogs. It'll just let you down.
My Ratings
4/10 - the food and drinks are sub-par and overpriced
3/10 - childish, touristy, and forced theme; it's not my scene...
3/10 - I think it's overpriced for what it is
Do I go here?
0/10 - no, I certainly do not, nor do I send my guests to Señor Frogs when they're in town.
